L'espace est muni d'un repère orthonormé (O;i→;j→;k→)\left(O;\overrightarrow{i} ;\overrightarrow{j} ;\overrightarrow{k} \right) .
Dans chacun des cas suivants, calculez le produit scalaire u→⋅v→\overrightarrow{u} \cdot\overrightarrow{v} . Que peut-on en déduire ?
Question 1

u→(2;1;0)\overrightarrow{u} \left(2;1;0\right) et v→(−2;3;1)\overrightarrow{v} \left(-2;3;1\right)

Correction
Soient u→(x;y;z)\overrightarrow{u} \left(x;y;z\right) et v→(x′;y′;z′)\overrightarrow{v} \left(x';y';z'\right) alors le produit scalaire u→⋅v→=xx′+yy′+zz′\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =xx'+yy'+zz' et si u→⋅v→=0\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =0 alors les vecteurs u→\overrightarrow{u} et v→\overrightarrow{v} sont orthogonaux.
u→⋅v→=2×(−2)+1×3+0×1=−1\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =2\times \left(-2\right)+1\times 3+0\times 1=-1
Dans ce cas, les vecteurs u→\overrightarrow{u} et v→\overrightarrow{v} ne sont pas orthogonaux.
Question 2

u→(2;2;1)\overrightarrow{u} \left(2;2;1\right) et v→(1;12;−3)\overrightarrow{v} \left(1;\frac{1}{2} ;-3\right)

Correction
Soient u→(x;y;z)\overrightarrow{u} \left(x;y;z\right) et v→(x′;y′;z′)\overrightarrow{v} \left(x';y';z'\right) alors le produit scalaire u→⋅v→=xx′+yy′+zz′\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =xx'+yy'+zz' et si u→⋅v→=0\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =0 alors les vecteurs u→\overrightarrow{u} et v→\overrightarrow{v} sont orthogonaux.
u→⋅v→=2×1+2×12+1×(−3)=0.\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =2\times 1+2\times \frac{1}{2} +1\times \left(-3\right)=0.
Dans ce cas, les vecteurs u→\overrightarrow{u} et v→\overrightarrow{v} sont orthogonaux.
Question 3

u→(1;2;1)\overrightarrow{u} \left(1;2;1\right) et v→(0;−1;2)\overrightarrow{v} \left(0;-1;2\right)

Correction
Soient u→(x;y;z)\overrightarrow{u} \left(x;y;z\right) et v→(x′;y′;z′)\overrightarrow{v} \left(x';y';z'\right) alors le produit scalaire u→⋅v→=xx′+yy′+zz′\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =xx'+yy'+zz' et si u→⋅v→=0\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =0 alors les vecteurs u→\overrightarrow{u} et v→\overrightarrow{v} sont orthogonaux.
u→⋅v→=2×0+2×(−1)+1×2=0.\overrightarrow{u} \cdot \overrightarrow{v} =2\times 0+2\times \left(-1\right)+1\times 2=0.
Dans ce cas, les vecteurs u→\overrightarrow{u} et v→\overrightarrow{v} sont orthogonaux.
